NATA - National Aptitude test in Architecture

The National Aptitude Test in Architecture (NATA), is conducted by  Council of Architecture, New Delhi in India.  The National Aptitude Test in Architecture is a national level examination for admission to undergraduate courses in Architecture. The test measures the aptitude of applicants for a specific field of study, i.e. Architecture, in areas like drawing and observation skills, sense of proportion, aesthetic sensitivity and critical thinking, qualities that have been acquired over a long period of time and that are related to Architecture. NATA or the JEE B.Arch exam are prescribed by the Council of Architecture as a compulsory criterion for taking admission to any Architectural College or course in India.

Eligibility

Eligibility criterion for NATA exam are as follows:-

​

  • 10+2 passed or appearing with Mathematics as a mandatory subject.

  • 10+3 Diploma holders (any stream)/ appearing recognised by Central/ State Government with Mathematics as one of the subjects. 

  • International Baccalaureate Diploma passed/appearing, after 10 years of schooling with Mathematics as a compulsory subject of examination.

(There are not any lateral admission criteria for admission in any stage/year of B.Arch course.)

*NOTE:--

These criterions are as that of till 2018. Since, CoA has done amendmends in eligibility for B.arch, therefore changes in NATA are also likely to happen. It will be uploaded shortly as soon as information comes from the governing body.
